Directions

May be worn alone or over makeup. Invert jar and gently tap to allow powder to gather in tray. Open sifter lid. Lightly brush powder over face and neck to even out complexion. For the most even application, be sure to tap excess powder from brush before applying. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.

Out of all the drugstore powders out there, Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Loose Powder, shade Creamy Natural, is by far the best. Period.I don't think many people know this so I'm telling you now.But LOOK OUT ~ There are two other types of this powder and, on occasion, other sellers have sent me the wrong type. So be sure to check out my pics so you can spot the differences and get the right one... because the others suck. Trust.

I thought that once I turned 50 I wouldn't have to deal with oily skin anymore. Using liquid foundation to cover dark spots and the beginning of Rosacea only melted and settled in the "fine lines" and looked terrible. My hair stylist suggested I try Aveda mineral powder foundation a couple years ago. It would still settle in my creases, but over time I have found that primers and setting spray help and make it easier to touch up with out washing my face and putting on my face from scratch. As Aveda products are more costly, I wanted to find something less expensive. Physicians Formula not only fit my budget, but exceeds my expectations of a loose powder. My skin has even started looking smoother since I have been using PF Mineral Wear for the last year. It covers without caking or looking like my Baba's face did when she would powder it. I spritz L'oreal's Finishing Spray on after applying, then go over my face once more with the Mineral Wear. A final spritz of finishing spray keeps me from touching up for about 3 hours on a hot, humid day. Then all I do is blot with rice paper, brush on Mineral Wear and spray my face again. This routine keeps my makekup looking fresh and pretty natural. Since using Physicians Formula Mineral Wear, I no longer look like I am wearing a thick layer of cover-up and feel a few years younger to boot!

I have been using this foundation for years, I normally have oily and dry skin and a lot of Foundations, especially liquid foundations, usually cause my face to break out and makes my skin a lot drier than normal to where it sometimes starts flaking. I usually buy this Foundation at Walmart but found that it's actually a few dollars cheaper to buy through Amazon so I have been buying it here the past few months, it always gets here very fast (within a few days) and always comes without damage or defects. I love this Foundation and I feel like it actually makes my skin clearer and feel healthier than it is without any foundation at all. This is the only foundation I will ever use assuming they don't discontinue it.
The brush they provide works well for the first week or so then starts shedding the bristles, so I recommend buying a separate decent foundation makeup brush, that is the only downside I can think of but the brush is a minor detail to me and doesn't affect my opinion on the overall product.

Full Disclosure:
I’m a guy, and so I do not use this product.
Amazon would not give me the space to write down everything I do not know about ‘foundation powder’ which, to me, sounds more like a building product than a makeup.

Here’s what I do know:
My wife cannot use cheap makeup and we used to have to buy $40 powder that was getting harder and harder to find. I never had any problem with the price, but rather the ‘harder to find.’

This product works....it lasts as long as the other brand, and it’s easy to find because it’s popular.
Every now and then you will find a product that one can slap a different label on it, charge 3x as much, and nobody will bat an eye because it’s THAT good. From my perspective as somebody who know NOTHING about makeup this is one of those products.

I've been using physicians formula brand makeup for several years now. I have combination skin, and either it would get too dry or too oily. This makeup has done wonders for my skin overall. I use it as a light layer to set my foundation and it's coverage is excellent. Enough so, that I could wear it alone. I have a pretty noticeable birthmark on my cheek and this provides enough coverage to hide it. I seldom get any kind of breakouts and it doesn't seem to clog pores near as much as other brands I've tried. It also doesn't over dry which is awesome.

I'm super lazy, and hate getting ready. This powder is prefect for me. It doesn't look cakey, it helps control oiliness, it has some spf, and it's easy to apply. I use a kabuki brush to put it on (probably not correctly, but oh well). I have combination skin and tend to get acne as an adult (why do the gods hate me). This doesn't make me breakout and doesn't cling to rough spots, although I do use a moisturizer spf first that helps.
