Works perfectly! Keeps the tank right at 74°. The heater companies claim that these are fully submersible. Well the last heater I owned had to be discarded because it was full of water. There weren’t any cracks in the glass, just water sneaking in through the top. I no longer submerge my heaters. I keep the plastic top out of the water. So far so good. No issues and it’s heating perfectly.
I bought this about a month ago and it's still working. It is maintaining the water temperature where it should be as confirmed by a separate thermometer. It's sticks well to the side of the tank but I have found that you need two hands to adjust the temperature which can be slightly inconvenient at times.

They work. Read and apply the directions and they perform well. They are not the easiest to calibrate but once dialed in according to the product instructions... they are solid performers. It may take a few retreads of the instructions and patience, but they do work. A long time user. Mine eheim heaters always outlive the suction cups, helps wash cups and clean glass occasionally. Buy an extra eheim hanger, 7$ , I think. Best of luck from Michigan.
I purchased 2 heaters, 1 I have in my 55 gallon fresh water tank after a few weeks they have lost suction so it just floats in the water. The other I use in my extra 5 gallon pail of water to keep it warm for water changes.
