update:This is still a very useful item, However, I noticed a serious design flaw as my stick broke after infrequent light usage.The stick is designed to have a bunch of rollers on a metal rod with two handles on either end. However, the length of the rod that goes into each of the handles is really small. Also, the plastic that holds the rod is fragile. Thus, the stick is prone to breakage very easily.original review: Good Quality Stickthis is very useful item, a must have for everyone. I have used one of the 'original' stick and passed it on to my dad. Didnt want to spend $40+ on it again and chose to try this one. It works and the wider handles give me a better grip.

I got this roller back in 2016 and I must say it just works! I prefer this type of roller over the large foam rollers because I am unable to control the pressure when I have to use my whole body to lay on those and try to roll the side of my legs laying on the floor. This handheld roller allows you to control the pressure you apply and if you know what to work on to relieve pain then you will absolutely want to have this! I used it religiously when my feet start to ache and even when my knees get a stabbing pain. I just roll the IT bands on my sides and within minutes the pain is gone. I helped my 82 yr old mother use it for pain on her knees by rolling her IT bands and then she could go up and down the stairs again with no problems. The rolls move seamlessly over clothing or bare skin and after nearly 9 years of use, it is still like new. Highly recommend!

I bought this shortly after arriving home from the hospital after Total Knee replacement. I was completely prepared for my knee to be painful and sore post surgery. What I wasn't ready for was how beat up, tired sore and painful my Quadriceps were going to be. Those muscles took quite a beating in surgery. My Physical Therapist used a similar product on my first visit to him. I felt so much relief that I went home and bought this right away. It has been very helpful to say the least. I am able to work the quads, IT band and calf muscle easily. Your glutes are also important to strengthen during rehab for TKR and I worked them in ways I hadn't before so they benefited from this piece as well.

Good product, good value. Solidly put together, feels like it will be durable and I will continue to use it on a daily basis. My wife enjoys it as well by the way. If you have a partner to hit the back of your shoulders, hamstrings or other harder to reach muscles it's great.

I want to first say, this muscle roller stick is awesome!! I compared it to other ones brought from sports authority some quite overpriced $40.00 or more but with not the same results at all. I am currently recovering from an Acl surgery, therapy has been frustrating at times which made me want to invest in ways to recover quicker, and I have to say this item is God Sent. I speculated being that it was so reasonably priced, and wasn't quite sure how effective this product could possibly be in aiding my recovery. And Boy! was i wrong. I stand corrected. This product has helped me release some unknown trigger points on my legs bilaterally, and you can use on your back, arms , etc. I brought it to work with me, and its been my companion wherever i go. I demonstrated how to use it, since my co workers were skeptical, because at first they thought it was quite funny too, how i could bring such a thing to work. But when they tried it themselves they were convinced, and were asking me where they can purchase one!!! Look at that!

Pros: Everything .... it's light weight and quite portable, somewhat discreet, and the relief you get is amazing. Tip: Remember to roll over the trigger points a few times until you feel the tension release. It may take a few tries to release.

Cons: None really, unless aesthetically it may not be all pleasing for some, but really who should care. It's your health!

Take a chance, I have tried some out there and this one is quite simplistic but very effective and for the price, I am sold!

The roller does its job and glides smoothly. Comfortable diameter to avoid feeling a lot of pressure in one spot. The only issue is it is made from the hard type of plastic and it makes an awful squeak when rolling. I will keep this one to use at home when everyone is awake, but will likely get another, at a store to be sure it is quiet, for my son to take to track and cross country, otherwise everyone within 50 feet will be looking at him as they search for the horrid sound.
