Initial impressions are fairly positive. The motion sensor seems to be reliable and the retaining ring is easy to use. I was a bit disappointed in the aesthetics though - in person it comes off as somewhat unrefined and does not come off as a premium product, largely due to the lid design (a bit flimsy) and material choice.
Update after ~1.5 years - Increased from 4 to 5 stars. I've been using this exclusively on battery and it's never skipped a beat. The activation mechanism has been rock solid. This is in our primary bathroom so it goes through several activations per day, every day. The batteries last for months, and the lid opening mechanism will start slowing down when they need to be replaced. Highly recommended.

Shipped really quickly without any damage. Easy to read directions made it an easy set up. We like the white color as it matches out newly renovated bathroom! It's only been in use for a little over a week, but it works just as we hoped it would. Just the two of us, so it has plenty of room for tissues, etc. We use grocery bags for a liner. I wasn't very careful with the last one I replaced, as it is showing in the photo, but tucked in under the holder properly, it will not show like the picture. Just an FYI. We love it!!
