Secret of the Multi-Cut: The Multi-Cut has a mechanical action different from that of scissors. With scissors you're limited to cutting sheets of material, such as paper, fabric and thin plastic. The Multi-Cut has a mechanical action of a blade coming down onto a flat anvil. This design combined with a razor sharp blade & an offset pivot point gives you incredible cutting ability for cutting thick & rigid materials that have density.

I bought this for cutting rope. It does do a good job, but one thing I noticed is that the blade does not come down on the anvil evenly. Even with trying to readjust the blade, I am unable to fix this. It will still be useful to have, but cutter is not as good as it could be.

This tool cuts thick leather work belts like butter. Way better than exacto hobby knives. I lost about 6 inches of waist, so needed to shorten all my belts, not just punch new holes. Unscrewed the buckles, trimmed the leather down very easily and screwed in the set screws. It's easier still if you mark and drill/punch the new holes.
This tool saved about 5 nice belts for me. One alone cost more than this tool. Way worth it.
I'm getting one as a gift for my horse rancher friend. Would make bridle and saddle strap replacement trivial.
