    I admit I thought this was going to be a laughable adventure in trying to use this reel, after all it was cheaper than the harbor freight version. Turns out it's really not that bad! The Hybrid hose is soft and pliable enough, but not enough to kink without really going for it. It held 130psi easy, and there was no difference in feel or usage between the hose holding pressure of not. It did not become stiff or noodly at varying pressures. The reel ratcheting mechanism works well once you learn the sound of when it is ratcheting and catching, and when it will retract. The hose was a bit more than 25ft, which will give you a little bit of breathing room if you have budgeted for the exact amount, it really helped to get that extra couple of feet when going around the car. The retract is wicked fast, you must hold the hose while it retracts, unless you want to have a bad time.

    The only issues I had is that mounting it was slightly unorthodox. Some users like myself will not have 4 bolt mounts available waiting for a couple nuts and seamless installation. While two of the bolt holes are open, it is easy to slide it into a couple of bolts that are almost tightened down. The issue for me was the reel itself blocks the other two holes to be able to stick bolts through. I eventually came up with a wacky wedge fit idea, but otherwise you may need to pull the hose all the way out to get a little more clearance to feed those bolts in.

    The other issue was simply a missing description detail, is that the inlet fitting is 3/8". The fittings by the way are brass and fit well with no leaks. Also, the warranty requires the use of a flexible fitting on the inlet. At this price though, meh, my fittings cost more than this thing, put in a hard right angle and off you go.

    I purchased this reel right after installing a Goodyear reel. I needed a fixed mount replacement reel so I got this one. Immediately noticed it is flimsy unlike the unit it replaced or the Goodyear reel that is enclosed in a nice plastic shell. It works but I wonder for how long. The metal is very thin.

    This is a fantastic hose reel with plenty of retracting strength! The stop is adjustable as well, so you can adjust how much hose hangs out of the reel. The only downside is you have to plan your installation carefully, as the mounting bracket is behind the wheel, the wheel is not able to be taken off, and the holes are slotted. I would purchase this again everytime, however.
