    Arrived on time, Well Packaged. The audio is exceptional. On both ends, we can hear each other as though we were in the same room. Headset is light, cushion is comfortable. Can adjust to fit head size and wear on either ear. I love the USB-C accessory; it enables me to plug the headset directly into my android devices. That is a thoughtful design because some cases are too bulky to fit the traditional audio jack. I like the accesibility of the volume and mute buttons, and the clip to tuck the cord out of the way.     First the headset shown is not the same one which was shipped to me. I got a model A602 and the model shown is a model USB UC600.

    I ordered the headset because I want to connect to my smartphone which has a 3.5 mm jack. This headset does that just fine, so I am okay with it not being the same.

    Here is the difference. There is no USB connection, instead there is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack converter. Many landlines use a 2.5mm connection for a headset.

    The second difference is the control panel. In the pictures shown, there LED lights, mute button and volume up/down. The headset I received has no LED lights, one button and a volume wheel. Again, this is not a big issue for me, but I am pointing out that the headset you are most likely to receive is not the same as pictured on this page.

    The headset is comfortable, It adjust to fit your head. This headset has one ear piece and the mic boom is on the same side. The mic boom will rotate up our of the way and will rotate so the ear can be fitted over the right or the left ear.

    The cord is long enough for comfortable use and there is a shirt clip to keep the cord in place. The controls are handy to reach when the headset is in use.

    I think the headset actually gives better voice reception/transmission than the smartphone. I often have long conversations which would be very tiresome without a headset. This one works well and is a good value for the money. Please be aware that the controls are different and it does not come with a USB attachment.

    I bought this to use with a voice recorder so I could dictate for transcription with Dragon Naturally Speaking. For the first week, it worked great. I didn't use it much for a few months, and when I returned yesterday suddenly the transcriptions looked like gibberish. I thought my Dragon profile had been reset at first, until I actually listened to the recording. The audio has become static, with a very weak distant voice that's barely audible even at max volume. I've been transcribing by hand, but even so the voice is sometimes inaudible beneath the static.

    This is the kind of thing I'd have expected for $6, not $30. I am extremely disappointed; nay, mildly infuriated. The handful of decent recordings I got out of it before it failed completely were NOT worth the amount I paid. I must strenuously recommend avoiding this brand.

    EDIT: Since posting this, Wantek has promised to send a replacement, though contacting them required direct email since Amazon's tools didn't recognize their one-year warranty window as existing. They are very helpful and eager to correct the problem and sent a replacement without any fuss or bother.

    EDIT 2: Since posting the above, they have repeatedly offered me a bribe to remove this review entirely as they claim to have improved their product's quality. I hold no ill will against them, but without having verified for myself that the product is improved my review is here to serve as a warning to anyone else who may come to rely on this product as I did. If you need a phone mic or something, it will probably be perfect; if you're committing hours of creativity to its care, it may be better to get a higher quality alternative so as not to risk losing your work.

    Be aware that the reviews you see may be impacted by such customer satisfaction support behavior and consider them with a grain of salt. I have reduced my rating from 2 stars to 1 as I feel this sort of vote manipulation is deceptive and should not be encouraged, but the product itself is still deserving of a solidly average rating. I just take issue with the company's behavior.

    Here's a breakdown for ya:

    Microphone quality: 3/5 - worked just fine
    Longevity: 2/5 - lasted less than a year

    Support: 6/5 - offered replacement, and refund, and additional bribe
    Desperation: 10/5 - see above.

    I bought the headset in 2019, 9 months ago. The audio seemed weaker than my previous, expensive Rocketfish headset which my parrot broke. Two weeks ago, the mic on this unit failed during a call. I could hear, but no one could hear me. I knew the warranty was up, but decided to see if Wantek would give me credit toward a new one.

    I emailed them through Amazon and they instantly offered a new replacement. They shipped it right away and didn't ask for the old unit back. I went for it, and am happier with the replacement. The other party sounds louder, so the unit I had was probably defective from day one.

    About this unit: I was happy with the price, and how sturdy this headset is, especially the cord, which is about 1/3 thicker than the more expensive Rocketfish headset I had before. The mike boom is longer, too, and adjusts right over my mouth. It swings away if I'm snacking. :)

    The sound quality in the earphone is very good. People say they hear me quite clearly through the mike. I used my phone's "Sound Recorder" function to hear for myself, and the only complaint I had was there was no wind protection. My "Ps" and "Ts" gave wind noise. So, I bought a set of foam "muffs" to put over the mike and voila! It's fine!

    I hope to be using this headset for a long time.
