Need something for peace-of-mind when traveling in Italy this summer, but there are SO MANY to choose from on Amazon that it was hard to decide. This one was pretty close to the highest ratings so I took a chance and I'm really glad I did. I would give it 6-stars if I could!
The one I ordered is black- but seems more like a dark grey. Definitely not jet-black like the shirt I'm wearing in my photos. I could not see any difference between black and grey in the Amazon photos.
It's definitely designed to be worn over the right shoulder. I did not see a version made for left-shoulder, but I tried it that way just for fun (with the zipper-side against my right-hip) and it is just as comfortable- but not as functional because the pockets are not accessible.
It is SUPER LIGHT! I hardly even notice it is on me. Even with the basics in it (phone, wallet, charging cables, tourbook, passport, etc.) it is very comfortable and won't bother my back or shoulder. Shoulder strap has enough padding and ergonomic design to be comfortable. I am 6' and wear it with the full length of the shoulder strap let out.
You can see from my photos that it has a natural curve shape to it, which makes it lay nearly flat against my side. I was worried that it would be bulky, but it's not. It is comfortable exposed, but would disappear completely under a jacket too.
Lots of storage space which is all plastic lined (good in case of rain). I love that the top pocket has velcro instead of a zipper. My only complaint would be the bright white WATERFLY embroidered lettering on the side- but I solved that with a black sharpie marker. Now the letters blend right in to the bag color. :-)
