Product Description

Reebok

Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

I like these shoes, and I bought the exact same brand and type as my first pair. However this pair is not as good. The first pair was more firm and not as flimsy. They are a good shoe, I will run in them and use them for the gym for workouts. They work good for both activities. Just wish they were more firm in their shape.

UPDATE: 26July2018: My previous review is listed below where I gave the Nano 8's only 3 stars due to some sizing issues. I wear size 11 but my toes were crammed up against the front so needed to return them. Rather than risking several reorders due to sizing, I stopped into a local sporting goods store and tried on both a half and full size bigger. The size 12's seem to fit great. I don't want to abuse brick and mortar stores as only showrooms; they need to pay their bills also, so perhaps should have bought them there, but I'm a dedicated Amazon shopper due to their unmatched customer service, so i reordered from Amazon. I perhaps should allow weeks of wearing before updating my review, but I wanted to update my former, average 3 star rating due to sizing issues to a full 5 stars now to give a fair assessment. First is the comfort factor. I have no foot issues, but for some reason I have a horrible time finding athletic shoes that don't cramp one foot or the other. So far, the comfort these offer are phenomenal. Partly due to it having 7 eyelets that are staggered, it allows you to tighten the shoe according to the unique contours of your foot. Insole support is superb. The more bulbous design of the front of the shoe offers great room for your toes with no cramping or pressure, once you get the correct size, which as noted might need to be larger than you normally wear. Second, due to the mesh design as opposed to solid leather shoes, these are extremely light weight. Third is the appearance. My personal preference is an appealing but minimal look. At least for me, shoes with neon streaks or aggressive soles that scream, look at me, I'm the Liberace of footwear, are best left to more extraverted types. These have a stylish and almost sophisticated look without appearing boring. I'll be using these for everything from boxing to weight training to some roadwork, and so far these seem to offer both comfort, support and stability. I also tried on the Nike counterparts, the Metcon 4's, and in my humble opinion, these Reeboks, seemed far superior and advanced in materials, quality and design, though the price is identical. Just my 2 cents in case you're cross shopping brands. I again advise you to be certain about size if you order these since their physical design seems to make them run smaller than your normal size. So far, extremely satisfied for a full 5 stars.

(Original Review ) Perhaps I shouldn't be writing a review just yet. I sent for these based on all the raving reviews. All my dozens of pairs of shoes and boots and sneakers have always been an exact size 11. I was so anxious for these to arrive, but when they did, it only took slipping one on to be amazed at how undersized they are. My toes were crammed up against the front of the shoes even though I didn't even have thicker athletic socks on but thin dress socks. Amazon, of course, authorized a return immediately so they are going back tomorrow. They have a very unusual construction with a fully breathable mesh like weave, so I feel certain they will be very cool during a long workout or run. It's worth noting that they have an unconventional front shape, reminiscent of Earth Shoes, a generation ago. Jury is out on if I care for that look but if they are as versatile in workouts as many reviewers say, the looks are important but secondary. I asked for a refund instead of an exchange because as much as I am in love with buying online, and despite the wonderful no questions asked return policy, footwear might be the one item I'll need to actually try on in a physical store. I could have ordered an 11 1/2 to see if that worked, but if I needed a 12 that might mean at least one more return with the need for another trip to the post office. So, forgive the lack of a total review. I plan to go somewhere and purchase these again, based on the reviews and my at least brief look at these. I'm posting this just to alert potential buyers that it is likely you will need to order a larger size than you normally wear in footwear. Just a heads up.

I've worn tons of other shoes for an array of workouts. I've had these for 6 months and feel that it is a good all around shoe for those that dont want to keep switching their kicks every 30 minutes at the gym. I've had runs under 5 miles in these, crossfit workouts, lifting to include deadlifts and squats, and functional training. I have not used these on trails and probably dont think I will. They are comfortable but feel like they wouldn't hold up on a spartan race or trail. I also dont feel that they will grip enough on the trails during a spartan race. Not sure how they would do wet. I am flat footed and usually wear minimal arch support or cushion so I can have a natural run/walk. I am hesitant to buy a shoe with arch support and more so for working out in, but the arch support in these shoes is not too aggressive and feel decent when running. Overall the material is nice and stylish and the look is very sleek. I wear an 11 and ordered an 11 and they fit perfect.

Reebok Men's CROSSFIT Nano 8.0 Flexweave/ color: industrial green. A good overall shoe designed for a variety of sport activities . It's reasonably comfortable and certainly durable with good breathability, stability, with good cushioning for a crosstrainer. A great all-around trainer at a great value. I've ordered a "like new" pair fulfilled by amazon at a 1/4 of the price. I was amazed about the quality (pleasantly surprised); I've received a new pair with just missing the original box and the tags (as described). I’ve already worked out twice, and I have enjoyed the performance of my new CROSSFIT Nano 8.0. In all fairness, the only thing I believe can be improved is the design of the toe-box; it sits too low, but it’s not a deal breaker.

I normally wear 12.5 in shoes but with reebok i noticed they run a little big so i ordered these in a 12 to avoid and heel slipping and boy, that was a good call. My toes still have about half inch before the end of the shoe, and the padding on the inside of the shoe box at the toes is very comfortable and provides more piece of mind when using them. They're flexible and the base is very sturdy. The shoe laces are thin, so when in use they do loosen up little by little. At the beginning of my workout I tightened them up firmly, and at the end of my workout when i go home i slid them off like slippers. They arent the most stylish shoes ever, but man they are probably the best feeling ones. I tried the metcons and couldnt stand them. But the metcons look much cooler. Also, the rope threads on the metcons is a perk compared to these beacuse these nanos dont have much thread assistance on the inside or outside for rope climbs. I bought the cheapest nano 8s i could find, the green and grey ones. since the cooler looking nanos are expensive, i figure im there to train not to look like i blow money on expensive colors to look cool. Im too edumocated for that

I find these to be both comfortable and secure. A very flat shoes that lends itself well to static lift and explosive movements that require a solid base, like box jumps. If you do a fair amount of OLY or power lifts but don’t need competitive style shoes then these work great.
The only negatives were they run a little large in the toebox so I had to size down, and for the same reason they are great in lifts (Flat, solid base, minimal padding) can make them a pain for agility based things like jump rope, short sprints when done repeatedly like in a LONG WOD or Murph where running is a solid chunk of the workout.

When I first put them on my right foot felt a little tight on the puter right side, but now that i have broke them in they are super comfortable! I walk with them in warm socks since the temperature is getting chillier and they do not feel thight at all. They feel solid they do not squick. I can jump rope with them with great ease.
