How To Use The Hooks
Different fish species use different fishing hooks sizes. Here are the recommended sizes for some species.
Crappie: Most anglers use live minnows as a lure, and you can use hook to catch crappie. They have an enormous mouth, and you should use a 2# fishing hook.
Largemouth Bass: If you’re targeting largemouth bass, using a size 2/0 to 3/0 fishing hook is advisable. You will use the hook for throwing soft plastics, and this size can perfectly accommodate your lure while providing tight hook sets.
Walleye and Red Groupers: You can use a size 1/0 circle hook to hold your artificial lure when trolling for the reds. Similarly, if you’re targeting walleye, use a size two-circle hook or octopus hook.

Overall I'm a little disappointed
Sougayiland EWG HooksThese are not completely terrible hooks, but for the price, they're just OK.For context, I have a picture of some hooks. I have a Gamakatsu hook on the left and the Sougayiland hook on the right, an Eagle Claw hook in-between the two. If the Gamakatsu hook is a 10 out of 10 for sharpness (10 being the sharpest), then the Sougayiland hook is like a 6 out of 10 for sharpness. I feel like the eagle claw hook is like an 8 out of 10 (but it's a different hook). Also, the wire gauge of the Sougayiland hook is very thick. which I'm not a fan of that. I tried them out fishing one day, and I lost a couple of fish because I couldn't set the hook properly, (I usually have no problem setting the hook). Overall I'm a little disappointed. I feel like the reviews were exaggerated on the sharpness of the hook and made them seem better than they really are.

Would love to see one hook size larger added or made to replace the smallest size, but this is just a personal preference.
Can hold the big and strong fish (as shown)...that 40 pound buffalo carp did put a slight bend in the hook after a 3 minute battle on 30 pound KastKing braid... Only thing that broke was the drag on the reel...
Overall, extremely impressed and will buy again.

Excellent quality and good sizes for large panfish to big largemouth., Even catfish. Hooks are extremely sharp, will bend instead of snapping if you have a 30 pound braid and pull slowly, and the bend that happens allows the hook to still be usable, which is an incredible addition to the already great value.Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2017

My husband has been using some old snell hooks that his father bought him years ago and he finally ran out. He needed new hooks and lures so went and bought some. When they arrived, he honestly had expected them to be a bit smaller but was pleasantly surprised to find them to be larger than he was expecting. These hooks come in 5 different sizes in a nice hard, plastic case. There are 10 of each hook which totals to 50 pieces. His old snell hooks were thin and tended to break without too much pressure being applied to them, which meant when he did catch something, the hooks tended to break trying to get them out of the fishes’ mouth. These hooks are sturdier, made of hard carbon steel and he used some pliers on one and was only able to bend one with lots of effort. He seems fairly pleased with these and feels more confident when out fishing knowing the hooks won’t break when fish gets caught on them.
