Normal 40-hour work weeks don’t exist anymore, creating the need for a versatile go-anywhere, do-anything pack. The Carhartt Legacy Standard Work Pack with Padded Laptop Sleeve and Tablet Storage is that pack. Built of heavy-duty 1200D Poly with Rain Defender durable water repellent, this bag can be set down anywhere, no matter the terrain—the Duravax abrasion-resistant base stands up to the test. This pack has one large, main compartment complete with a padded 15-inch laptop sleeve as well as a spot for your tablet. Two mesh pockets on the side are perfect for water bottles, work gloves and other gear. There are also two zippered pockets on the front; including an organization panel inside with key fob, pen loops and smaller slash pockets. The padded, contour fit shoulder straps with daisy chains make hauling any load a breeze. Air mesh, padded back panel provides additional comfort. The Carhartt Legacy Standard Work Pack also features YKK zippers, metal hardware, triple needle stitching for reinforcement and Carhartt logo patch; measures 12w x 18h x 11d inches, and weighs 1.4 pounds. Carhartt Work Bags, Packs & Gear are covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and worksmanship for the normal life of the product.

Love the gray color. The bottom is very durable and straps are comfortable. I’m a teacher and love that there’s a laptop sleeve in this backpack as well as lots of pockets inside the front pocket. I can easily hook my if badge to the strap so I can get into work with my key fob when hands are full.

Solid bag, bomb proof for sure as you would expect from carhartt. About the same size as a school backpack. Same material as the jackets unless I'm mistaken, might be tighter weave. The bottom rubber material is nice and clean. More comfortable than expected. This is not a hiking bag. It's more of an edc man bag (but works great as a short day pack), you don't need all the straps, so don't be discouraged.

This is BY FAR way better quality than any $50 tactical bag. If you've had one, you know how they kinda just fall apart..

I've been looking for a new edc bag that isn't tactical at all, but still offers two front pouches and the orginazation, pretty much everything but the look. This is it. Same overall design, just made for civilian use and no molle webbing. The TWO laptop sleeves are padded and on point, good for other things as well. Straps are comfortable in all the right places, good structure. I highly recommend this bag, id buy it again and again if it was stolen, God forbid. The water bottle holders are alot bigger and deeper than I thought, nalgene sized for sure. Enough praise on the bag, go ahead n buy it. The gray is badass.

I absolutely love this backpack for work and school. It’s the perfect size to fit and organize everything I need. It has a perfect size laptop sleeve and a strap to keep it secure compared to other backpacks I have had. It has 3 additional perfect sized pockets for pens, medications, or whatever you made need. Needed a work bag that wasn't a flimsy/overly fancy totebag or some over the top "tactical" backpack and this seemed to fit the bill. Overall the bag seems decently made and I should get plenty of use out of it. The 2 exterior mesh pockets are fairly deep and will hold a 40oz hydroflask bottle with ease which is a huge plus as so many backpacks have tiny, useless water bottle pockets or none at all. The main compartment of the bag is roomy and I can fit a 15" dell work laptop in the padded section in along with a lot of files in the remainder. The front exterior zipper pockets are useful for holding a small paper notebook, calculator, pens/markers, business cards, and a few field snacks. Though, the exterior pockets only have one zipper tab so you have to make sure its zipped up all the way so stuff doesn't fall out and open all the way to access everything. A dual zipper, like on the main compartment would have been nice on these exterior pockets. The straps are padded and are quite comfortable, the mesh material helps with airflow to keep the straps and the back of the backpack from getting overly sweaty while carrying.

I'm very pleased with this backpack. I purchased it to transport my gaming laptop to/from LAN parties, business trips, and even have it to use at conventions to cart around swag and chargers. It does that perfectly. Here's all I've been able to cram in this backpack at once:
15" Gaming laptop and Charger
Gaming Mouse and mousepad
Spare USB cables and Ethernet cable
XBox One controller
USB external hard drive.
Microsoft Surface Go tablet
Headphones
Change of clothes (Jeans and shirt)
A fifth of whisky.
1l Water bottle in the mesh pocket.

The build quality is what I expect from a product bearing the Carhartt brand. It doesn't feel like it's at the limit of its materials. The shoulder straps make it comfortable to wear even fully loaded. No problems running this through X-ray at the airport either (I am TSA Pre). The mesh pockets on the outside are super stretchy which allows me to have my 1l Nalgene bottle within easy reach. I'm sure I could cram some pens and small toolkit in here too, but I also travel with a messenger bag with my work gear in it. Definitely better quality than a lot of bags in this price-range.
