So far so good. I just received this Fridgidaire FFRE0833U1 A/C today and I am really happy with it so far. I actually purchased a GE Smart A/C last week from Lowe's in which I will be returning tomorrow because it was absolutely awful, it was very loud (A lot of noises that a brand new A/C shouldn't be making..), would run just about continuously even with the eco saver on and it wasn't cooling well at all, junk!
So anyway, I purchased this Fridgidaire to replace the GE I bought last week..
This Fridgidaire is SO MUCH BETTER :)
The fan is very powerful and cools very well with even just the regular fan function. I currently have it on eco cool with the fan speed on medium 72 and it's freezing. I had it on the eco cool with the fan speed on low and that was really plenty to cool my 250 square foot room.. but I've been testing each setting out. High is really high, too cold for me at the moment but I'm sure it's going to be perfect on a really hot and humid summer day/night. The eco saver on this unit is awesome and when it shuts down or starts up it does it smoothly and quietly.
In addition to all of that, it looks nice, it runs quieter than any unit I've had and it seems to be really well made (like it'll last for years)

Great air conditioner for a hot LA apartment bedroom
I bought this AC unit about a year ago because the summers in LA have been getting hotter and hotter every summer and I couldn't stand laying in a pool of my own sweat every night anymore. So I bought this bad boy. WOW! What a difference this thing makes. I was a little nervous because the reviews were so-so, but every hot summer day I thank myself for getting this.My room is around 150-200 square feet and it cools it down very quickly. I have the temp on the AC unit set to around 70 and within 10-20 minutes the room is cooled down. I have 3 windows in my bedroom but only get direct sunlight for a few hours a day, which might help it stay cool. The Eco mode on it is a nice feature. It automatically turns off the unit when it feels it's reached it's temperature.Some people might complain that it's loud, but I've never once had any issues with it. But I'm also one of those people who needs some sort of white noise while I sleep. The only time I ever had an issue with noise with it was while it was raining outside while the unit wasn't running. I could hear all the drops of rain hitting the metal unit outside of the window. Other than that, it's never woken me up when it kicks on in the middle of the night. I guess I can be a heavy sleeper sometimes though. But the noise doesn't bother me in the slightest.It's a great little, compact unit. Very easy to install. I've never installed an air conditioner before but it's been sitting snug in my bedroom window for a year now. It comes with some foam and adjustable accordion sides like most AC units.Overall, I absolutely love this thing! It's saved me and I sleep so comfortably now. I can feel the huge temperature change when I open the door to the rest of my apartment. I don't know what I would do without it. I highly recommend it and would definitely buy it again.
