Product Description

Flat rubber o-ring seal. A common replacement part, this seal sits between the top of the blade and the botom of the jar. Compatible with Oster blenders, Osterizers and Oster Kitchen Centers. Also fits some Sunbeam models which use a metal drive pin. 10 GASKETS INCLUDED. It fits models that the outside diameter of the base of the blade is 2 5/8". Does not fit Pro, Master, or Versa models.

Excellent value to buy in this quantity, and you know you will use them all within a few years if you use your blender a lot. I do not know if these are OEM or aftermarket, but they fit well and do the job so at a bit over 50 cents each with free shipping, this is an excellent value.

Just remember to store them in a bag so they don't dry out, and don't forget where you put them! I have spare screw caps too since I have cracked a couple of those by overtightening. I was lucky and found an old blender at a yard sale recently that had the aluminum cap. The specifications have not changed over the years as they moved from metal to plastic so I bought the used blender for $5 just to get the nice glass container and metal cap!

mason jar revelation!

i love using quart mason jars with my oster blender, but the gaskets kept getting sucked into the blades and getting shredded up! real bummer! i figured out how to get around it, though.
the mason jar "lip" is a lot narrower than the regular blender container, also smoother and rounder. there isn't as much there to grab the gasket seal.
the mason jar lip needs to be 'roughened up' and also flattened.
use some rough sandpaper. lay it flat on a table and rub the jar mouth back and forth on it. i did mine about 30 times. the edge gets nice and flat and slightly rough.
i also roughed up the edges of that metal part that the gasket sits on.
why not?
i haven't lost any more gaskets since, and i lost five the evening before i did this.
whoopie, right?
P.S.!
i just destroyed my sixth gasket last night!
it dawns on me that part of the problem is that the jar lip, the gasket, and the metal blade unit also HAVE TO BE CLEAN, otherwise the gasket slips off from lack of friction.
the famous NIGHT OF THE FIVE GASKETS happened when i was trying to make chocolate buttercream frosting in the blender. VERY MESSY! also VERY BUTTERY.
it probably doesn't come up as much with the original blender container because you add stuff FROM THE TOP and you don't have to remove and replace the seals so much.
well, live and learn!
i'd still rough up my jars though.

We use our blender a lot, and when things don't get lined up right, the rings get chomped. So - I replace these regularly. I don't pay attention to the brand or seller when I do - I just look for the best deal at the time, but these are more flexible and more durable and fit in place better than others I've bought.

Okay but not for use with mason jars

These are nice and thick, but they don't fit for my purposes. I use my Oster blender with mason jars and these rings are a little too small to stay put in those jars. I can't say whether they'd work well with the regular blender jar. I can use the mason jars without any rings, but clean up is easier with them!

These blender gaskets just plain work! We had a few blender containers that were unusable because the original gaskets either broke or were lost over time. This set was very cost effective and worked perfectly. The set came in a standard letter envelope, but that makes sense based on the low price which included shipping. if you need Oster blender gaskets get these!

DISGUSTINGLY BAD SEALS

upon trying these for the first time, I was greatly disappointed. they look & feel ok, but when I used them with my blender, they leaked...BADLY.
At first I thought it was something I did wrong, so I tried to adjust the seal. nothing. still leaked BADLY.
so I tried another...and another. After the 3rd seal(package comes 10 to a pack), I gave up.
I do not use the blender for making food anymore, but to crush & mix my medicines(with water) that I need on a daily basis.
Because these seals have failed me, I will never buy from this vender again.
I do not have the time, or money, to put up with bad seals.

It is therefor my recommendation that everyone save your money & buy the seals you need elsewhere.
