Product Description
A brushed frontal texture complements MX340's black body to create a design that makes it a worthy heir of the COUGAR line of MX cases. The tempered glass cover on its left side allows you to see your computer's components and gives you an excellent opportunity to install RGB strips and other lighting devices that will make your case overflow with light. MX 340 is more than looks; it can house a full-fledged high-end gaming computer with a graphics card up to 330 mm and support for six fans and a 360mm water cooling radiator you'll get all the horsepower you need to run the latest games and the cooling your components require. Pros:
-Looks sharp
-Great size. Much smaller than my last case since it doesn't have optical drive bays, but still plenty of room for my RTX 2080
-Cable management is a breeze
-Included fan runs quiet. I wasn't planning on using it but it's no louder than the other fans I used so I threw it in
-Airflow seems perfect. Air cooled system running a slightly overclocked i5-9600k with a slightly overclocked RTX 2080 and no problems with cooling at all.
Cons:
-Expansion bay covers are the snap off type.
Neutral:
Buttons/USB ports are on the top of the machine. I prefer this location but my cats have managed to turn it off a couple times by walking on the case.
My only complaint about the case is the power supply has like no room to stuff cables or even manage them when you have the HDD cage installed. I would have liked if the HDD cage was all the way to the front of the case instead of having like an inch or more room in between it and the front. It would have given more room for cables coming out of the PSU.
Overall I would recommend this case to many people. I think it's a great bargain.
After having the case for a year it really has had its ups and downs.
Downs:
Popout PCI Slot cover rather than screw-in one.
Pain to remove front case to add fans so didn't utilize it.
Top usb 2.0 slots are way too loose and can easily have devices disconnect.
Weak metal and can bend when adding fan screws.
Pro's:
Having a Non-Modular power supply is usable and you can tuck leftover cables next to the power supply and they arn't seen.
Love the fan filters.
The tinted Panel is really nice for nights where I want to leave the pc on but have a darkish room while sleeping.
The addition of a 3.5" drive cage that is unseen is helpful. Also having a front mounted SSD slot is really nice.
In the end I wouldn't recommend the product. Even with it being a cheap and usable case, the thin metal, top USB port issues, and almost irremovable front panel is a deal breaker. I highly recommend spending some extra money and getting a more sturdy and modular case. :)
