Will be a good pole for the center support for my portable inverted-V antenna.
I bought this pole to use for the center support for my portable inverted-V antenna for Parks on the Air (POTA). I had to order a replacement though as the one I received arrived damaged. The two bottom (outer) sections had a crushed in spot that makes the sections difficult to extend. I went online with Amazon and requested a replacement. I think the pole is going to be perfect for my purpose though. I'm looking forward to using it in the field.I received my replacement pole and it's worse than the first. I added a couple of photos this time. This replacement pole first extendable section from the bottom will not extend at all past about 16-18 inches where there is a crushed in spot on the outer pole. Apparently as with the first pole the crushed in spot crushed in the next section a bit as well the second section in from the outside will extend but runs into a jam about 16-18 inches that you can get past with extra force. This shouldn't be though. I may try another pole or shop elsewhere. I had high hope for this pole but perhaps it's not to be.I'm returning this pole as well. Don't know why but I didn't get an option to request a replacement just a refund option. Oh well.

We just received this product and had seen others similar to this one. We feel this is far superior in construction to the ones that we have seen. I know we will find other uses for it, but our main reason for buying it is to retrieve a geo-cache that is 24 feet up in a tree! I'll bet this is a first for you! We are in our 80's and geo-caching is our hobby to get us out and hike and hunt for that elusive geo-cache. We are finding more caches hidden up higher than we can reach, so this will come in handy. We are very pleased with it and hope to use it in the very near future. Thank you.

Received this item on time. It included the duster as per description. The latch mechanisms on the extensions seem secure and easy to operate. Since I am using this mainly to clear snow from ground mount as well as roof mount solar panels, I chose this:

to use rather than a window squeegee as the above floor squeegee has thick foam rubber minimizing chance of panel damage. The squeegee does add significant weight to the end of the pole (1.2 pounds) causing quite a bit of flex on an extended pole. I found if I extend the lower extensions first, it does help minimize flex at the tip and extending 3 of the 4 lower extensions was adequate to reach my roof mounted panels and easily swept the snow off them. The extension latch locks are difficult to operate with gloves on and I had to take them off to unlatch them. The combo tip is great for angling the squeegee for a more effective sweep and I had hope the Combo end would have metal threads-they are plastic. The plastic seem rugged and threads are deep however and hopefully, they will survive the rigors of switching to different attachments. I did find that I had to twist on the attachment tightly to keep the attachment from un-threading. A lock mechanism might be helpful in this case. I am going to try putting on electrical tape on the threads and a rubber washer between the combo tip and attachment to see if I can keep the attachments on tightly. I cannot speak to it's longevity but overall, a great product at this point. .

The retracted length is easy to handle and store. Just have to remember NOT to extend it until IN the tree.
Friction locks work well to keep things where you put them. It'll be a while before I can address their durability. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Have had a year with it. It sure is long! But is ineffective when used to pick fruits. The friction locks don't lock solidly and the sections pull out on retrieval or retract if pushing to capture fruits. Bought it for mangos and it has failed. Can not recommend.

After trial and error over the last 19 months I finally figured out how to use this tool. There are two adjustments for each segment. One to hold the "collor" on to the pole segment and one to control the "grip"! Once I was educated, it worked well!

This tool absolutely meet the need of clearing the dust from the ceiling fan in my 1.5 story living room. From my second story open, Loft – office, the inches of dust on the ceiling fan from the living room below was a constant irritant.
