I use this to raise a Diamond X50A vhf/uhf base antenna, both at home and in the field. Works much better than expected. No flex at all even with moderate wind. In the field, I just set the butt of the pole in the dirt and tied some tie-downs around the center extension joint. I have also attached this to my balcony using two 1-2.25” Quick Fist Clamps. Works and looks great! Highly recommended for hams.

Great extension pole. Only had to extend pole 2 feet to comfortably brush then paint a 12 foot wall. We even attached a 24in. heavy duty floor sweep to clean the wall, and there was no bowing fo the pole or loosening of the extension clamp. I was concerned that being fiberglass that the weight might be unpleasant, but it's actually not as heavy as most poles I have used; without sacrificing strength. The cushioned handle covers a large area, is softer than most and very comfortable. Add the non-conductive nature of fiberglass, strong but lightweight construction, anti-fatique cushioning, and a fair price, and you have a great extension pole.

This replaces a pole that I used to pick oranges. The threaded end of my original pole was plastic and broke from repeated use. This pole has a threaded metal end which is much stronger and looks like it will last for a long time. The picking basket readily attaches to the pole and fits snugly.
