How to fix it?
Contact seller to replace it.
- To prevent siphoning, you can install a check valve between tubing and air pump.
- Do not connect air pump with other devices sponge filters/protein skimmers except mini air stones.

Direction:
Soak air stone for about 1-2 hours before use.
1. Connect air stone to air tube.
2. Connect air tube to air pump outlet.
3. Attach air pump with clip on the outside wall of aquarium tank, please install air pump above water level to avoid any possible siphon and damage the pump.
4. Immerse air stone into aquarium tank.
5. Plug in and go.

I LOVED this little pump until I needed to change out the hose... but the way its designed with a cover over the connection... you can't get to the end of the tube to pull it off and it just rips until there's nothing left to grab onto... so... it is great... so quiet.. awesome product.... as long as you plan on using the same tube forever. Really disappointed. :(

Just be mindful of the possible issue mentioned above! The noise started off almost silent then after about an hour it makes some noise. Not too much if you're used to fish tank appliance noise.
The stone that came was a bit too powerful for my 6gal cube but worked very nice in my rectangle 5gal, the tube it comes with is the right size to swap with a smaller stone.
The pump doesn't over heat but the brick does. I only keep it plugged on for about 15 mins max now due to it getting hot quickly.
Otherwise this is a nice pump, very compact, very useful
