I already owned one set and wanted another so I could train both hands and hips at the same time. Follow the YouTube instructions. It has helped me delay my hip release, open my front hip, bow my front wrist through the shot and cover the ball down the swing path with my right. You can practice the motion even at home with or without golf balls. While the feedback can be challenging (especially at 45 degree rear hip!) Id say it’s really helped improve my swing.

Doesn’t stay in place on the club or the arm which makes it difficult to “train” with these tools. In a 30 minute practice session I feel like I spend 15 minutes reattaching and adjusting. I will use it and it has taught me a couple things about my swing but it is a bit frustrating.

The pros:
It DOES give VERY valuable feedback to the hip and wrist,
which can be invaluable
To re-create the feel of opening up your hips and proper wrist bend is quite difficult, and this product does come close

The cons:
The price is quite steep
You'll have to search around the internet for videos to help with fitting this to yourself,
it's nice that it's adjustable but that adds to the complicated nature of set up
You'll often be realigning and readjusting through out the session, almost frustratingly.

overall, it's a good product, i'd recommend trying once first before taking the full plunge if you could!
hit em straight!

OK let’s address the elephant in the room first then get on with the review. The price is absolutely astronomical for what this is. It’s essentially a bendy foam stick that crudely attaches to your belt, can I full heartedly recommend it as this price, absolutely not. But then again I didn’t spend years marketing a and researching this product so that’s easy for me to say. So what your paying for is essentially expertise in making your golf swing better and more accurate. To a lot of golfers out there this would be priceless so this expenditure would be worth every penny. Also if your a tutor this would be a fantastic tool to help you get the best out of your students and simplify the golf swing.
I have to say this comes in a nice padded over-engineered case. It’s really not needed and makes it very cumbersome to carry around if you’ve also got your clubs with you. There’s some absolutely fantastic video links for you to watch to get the most out of this product and can really see how it will help most golfers get a better swing. I think for this price you should get the golf club attachment as well as that looks like the most useful attachment if I’m honest. Sure this still helps with your body position through your swing but without the club attachment your not getting all the help you need to perfect your swing. And adjusting your body position changes the way you normally swing anyway. So your unsure if that’s changed how your club angle is. Sure if your hitting it long and straight then Bingo you’ve hit the jackpot but I still feel like something is still not right after practicing with this on the range for a bit.
Overall It’s an interesting bit of kit and can certainly see the benefits from using this product. I just think if they put this in a cheaper bag instead of that posh carry case and provide you with the goof club attachment this would be a better deal and could possibly recommend it, but as it is to me it’s just another incredibly overpriced bit of golf gear.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected but still a handy trainer

Golf trainer

I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.

Initially I thought this looked like a clever little device, to help improve your golfing game and ability. Now it is a simple, yet clever idea, it's just not what I thought it would be.

You get quite a decent little zip up storage case. Within this, you have the hip and arm attachments. These are made from foam and plastic, the foam arm allows for flexibility on angling the golfing aids. The arm one being around 15.5cm long, the hip one 35cm long and they each have a 4cm soft golf ball on the end. I guess they're not what I expected but they seem well made enough, for whats needed from them.

Both the aids can help in different ways. You can find full video instructions, as well as little pamphlets to help get you started too, which I thought was good.

The arm one can help the movement patterns in your wrist, you can choose trail or lead in your set up on either wrist. Help get a full swing, correct take away, create a flat lead wrist, improve path and lag, dynamic impact and controlled release.

The hip one can help make sure your hips are in the correct position, improve hip rotation in different swings. Also help your posture, turns, ground pressure and extension.

I think I thought these would work on a type of sensor based system and that's why it was expensive, so having seen it now, I think that makes me think it's a little more in price than I would of expected. I would of preferred a snap into place type bar, than a flexible one but this does allow for more of a custom fit.

Aside from me getting confused, I do think it is quite a useful aid system to help up your golfing game. With both aids being able to provide adequate training in so many different types of ways, I do think they're quite good. I would recommend it if it was a little cheaper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for rookies or those looking to improve their game - and great gift potential...

This Total Golf Trainer 2.0 Kit could be the perfect solution if you're on the lookout for a special birthday or Christmas gift for a loved one who enjoys the game - but perhaps feels that they could benefit from a little extra assistance to perfect the art of the swing and of striking the ball.

Strangely one of the options I had for games in the school sixth form was golf - which I leapt on as an easy option that involved travelling a few stops away on a bus and was, as such, quite an exciting afternoon out at the driving range. It was then, with my bucket of balls at my feet, that I realised golf wasn't simply a case of thwacking the little ball as hard as you could. It required know how and skill. We had a golf pro on hand to try to assist our fairly inept bunch of girls to try to improve how we held our clubs and how we approached a swing.

Which, of course would be an option if you were interested in improving your swing. But of course the services of a golf pro in the adult world comes at a price. It also demands a degree of commitment. Which is in part what makes this Total Golf Trainer so good - and so much more than a gimmick that'll stay at the back of a cupboard gathering dust.

The Total Golf Trainer is a breeze to use and can be used by right and left handed golfers to help steer keen golfers and beginners alike towards an effective swing that's no mere 'one off' and can be repeated time and again. Practice in the garden with the two parts of this training aid and before long you could be the talk of the clubhouse - but in a good way. As it's easy to use, you'll keep coming back to it and increasingly a perfect swing will be within your reach.

If you're buying this for a rookie golfer or for one who'd love to improve their game, the Total Golf Trainer 2.0 is well packaged and comes with a top handled carrying case in black with a red trim - spot on for gifting. The items in the pack are well made and should prove extremely durable. This is a premium offering from specialists in the market and would make a wonderful gift - whether for yourself or a loved one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap made unnecessary tool

I would not recommend buying this, it’s just waste of your money. Such a simple tool and it is too expensive. A little hard to put on, comes with an unnecessarily small strap I just could’t fit onto my wrist (it might would work for a kid or for females). However, yes you have tactile feedback on keeping your right (for right handers) wrist flexed back but I still believe there are other simple and cheaper ways to learn the ideal wrist, elbow, and arm position without the need of buying an ugly and super expensive useless tool (£78 at the time I write this review). Thank you but I don’t want it.
