Soo my old vacuum broke on me. Had her for years but it was just her time I guess so I bought this Eureka and it is literally AMAZING!!!! Dont judge my dirty rug but I wanted to wait until this new one got here to really try it out and test it and omg I'm so glad I got this vacuum! Assembly was a breeze. Easy to empty. And soooooo powerful! My gma brought her dog over and he sheds A LOT and it picked up every single hair NO PROBLEM! I'm in love!! Plus look at all that dirt. Mind you, this is from just ONE rug! I also have hardwood floors and it worked it's charm on those too no problem. I love how the handle turns into a extended hose cleaner as well makes it so much easier for a short person like myself to get up high. HIGHLY recommended!

How crazy is it that I felt I had to write a review the day after this little gem was delivered? I am someone who has wasted too much money on vacuum cleaners in the past and am never fully happy with them. I ended up giving them to my older kids who recently flew the nest. My biggest complaint being they were too heavy and I wasn’t impressed with their cleaning power for the money. I was very hesitant to buy another upright vacuum this time because I have a relatively new horizontal model. But those never have wide enough floor surface coverage- better for steps and hardwoods. When I saw this Eureka upright I read reviews. I was surprised. I wanted to save more money and purchased one that was rated “very good condition” not in original box. True the box was ugly and worn, but vacuum was brand new and in mint condition and all parts were wrapped. Very happy with that savings! Moving on… this thing is as light as a toy! And super compact for storing in my condo with limited closet space. Of course I had to try it out immediately and did my entire unit watched in amazement all the dust, dirt and cat hair go in the cylinder. This thing has powerful sucking power! A+
I hate to list cons because they don’t matter much me but they might to you:
No auto cord winding. Use your old fashioned skills to wrap it up.
I do wish the cord was longer. I had to replug it in 3 places to cover my whole unit.
It doesn’t have floor height adjustments, but I used it on different carpets and floors and saw no problem.
Bottom line is this is a strong sucking vacuum. It’s very light weight, compact and is simply built, nothing fancy, but it meets all my needs for a great price.

I was almost hesitant to get this vacuum because cheap vacuums usually never last. I can't attest to how long this one will truly last as I've only had it a couple weeks - But as soon as I got it, I whipped it out and started vacuuming my dog hair filled living room - This thing worked absolute MAGIC. I bought a $400 Bissell Crosswave before this - Huge mistake. It runs for maybe 5 minutes before it starts clogging. It couldn't handle ANYTHING. You try to go over a Cheerio with the Crosswave and it's done for the day. I got so frustrated with it, I went a couple months without vacuuming. This Eureka came in and conquered the task, sucked up every bit of dog hair on my couches and area rug. Then I did the whole house, including our hard floors. No issues at all, it rolls right over them and sucks up anything. I did not have it clog or spazz out one time. The dirt basin was completely filled by the end. It's strong, it's effective, and it's lightweight. It really gets in deep on the rugs. It can take some strength to push it on rugs in certain directions, which is fine because it sits a bit low and makes me feel like it's really getting *in there* and deep cleaning. The one and only desire I have is that the hose for sucking be a little longer. But, ultimately, the length and simplicity of the hose contributes to the lightweight aspect of the vacuum and makes it easily portable, so I understand why it is the length that it is. It comes with a few attachments that make the hose process even more convenient and you can entirely remove the handle of the vacuum and extend the hose that way as well. It's the easiest vacuum to clean that I have ever had. It takes me literally 30 minutes to clean out the Bisell Crosswave after one single use (granted, water is involved, but it's still a nightmare). This took me literally five minutes, to just empty out the dirt basin, rinse the inner workings and set out to dry. I could go on and on. To conclude this, I will just say, this vacuum exceeded my expectations and I'm thrilled to own it. It's genuinely made my life better.

My husband ordered this for me after a previous failed purchase for a different lightweight vacuum. We have a 2 story home: tiled downstairs and thick, plush carpeting upstairs - including our staircase. Needless to say, a lightweight, easy to handle, and efficient vacuum is a necessity.

Pros:
- very light
- strong suction
- easy to maneuver... even on the staircase
- dust/debris canister is easy to empty. Just a push of a button and it pops right off.
- not sure If this was a purposeful part of the design but, the hair that was picked up on our carpet conveniently gathered around a separate section of the canister. Pretty amazing to see!
- simple pedal design
-comes with 2 additional, basic tools: brush head for upholstery cleaning and a narrow tube for couch or floor corners & detail cleaning.

Cons:
- you can’t detach the entire canister from the stand for easier cleanup on staircases or if you need to access hard-to-reach areas.
- suction seems to decrease when disconnecting the hose from the main stand and attaching to the end of the handle.
- wish there was a mini vacuum head attachment. The 2 current accessories are ok but NOT designed for cleaning carpet properly.
- wish the cord was a bit longer. Ok for smaller rooms only.

Overall still enjoy this product. It does its job - making it easier for me to clean up.
