Electronic touch controls housed within the smooth glass surface of the induction cooktop make cleaning a breeze. Also, because induction cooktops only heat the pan and not the cooking surface you'll no longer have to struggle with burnt on food that's hard to remove. Heat is only transferred within the pan and not in the ceramic plate, making burns less likely.	Is My Cookware Compatible? Not all cookware is compatible with this induction cooktop. The pan must have ferrous iron content in the bottom in order for the induction cooking to work. The "Magnet Test" can help you know if your cookware can be used with induction cooktops. Bought this so the employees at the office would have a way to prepare lunches at work, other than the microwave oven. The induction top is an important safety feature, and it’s really quick to boil water for tea, noodles, or other quick lunches. I got introduced to induction tops when I worked in commercial kitchens - its a go-to piece of equipment when extra burners are needed in a kitchen, on a food prep line, or in catering, off-site situations. I even will steal it back from the office if I’m feeding a large group in my home, as I have yet to splurge on a six burner Viking range, lol (because I’m not that good a cook, and I’m certainly not that wealthy!) My middle daughter is asking for one for her dorm room in college... not sure if it’s allowed, but it makes a ton of sense, and it beats eating out of the vending machine every night!

I just wanted to post this for all of those who bought this and cannot use it because it turns off after a few seconds and flashes “L”

IT IS NOT BROKEN! this is an induction stove not just an electric “hot plate” it relies on magnetism to heat up. This is why your pot needs to contain iron! There are is lot of cookware that is on the cheaper side and will not work with this unit. If you want to check just hold a fridge magnet to your pot and if it sticks , it will work.

I was having the same issue and once I switched pots the unit worked perfectly .

The features are nice it’s easy to use remember to press power then select cooking mode (warm, simmer, boil, etc) within 10 secs or the unit will turn off. If you don’t place a pot on the unit within 10 secs it will also turn off.

“L “ stands for “Low” H stands for Hot the codes also show you whether or not the surface is safe to touch

I previously had a 1800W induction stove before we moved to the USA. I thought that even though I only used the full 1800W power 20% of the time, I could do without it so I decided to save some money and get this 1500W unit considering I 'hardly' used the full power.

And I can do without the extra 300W... but when you are boiling a pot of water, you notice the difference that the extra 20% power makes. Don't get me wrong, this is a great value unit BUT, if you have the money, put in the extra $30 and get the 1800w unit.

The reason I say $30 is because that is the price of the next unit up that comes with all the functionality.

The only other issue is that the induction coil on this unit seems a bit on the small side so there is a bit of a hot spot when using bigger pans.

And it doesn't turn my kitchen into a sauna. My kitchen is small and during the summer months I never cook inside, I just cook everything on the grill on the porch, or in the instant pot or sous vide, I never fire up the stove or oven. With this I can cook inside a bit more often in the hot days.
