Installation Steps (Repeater Mode)

  • 1. Plug it in to the power socket. Wait the light turns on. (Near original router will better)
  • 2. On your phone/laptop connect with the wifi named "Wifi-XXXXXX" (XXXXXX is the last 6 letters of the MAC address)
  • 3. Open your browser and enter into 192.168.188.1 in address bar.
  • 4. Log in. Username and password are " admin "
  • 5. Click on "Repeater(WISP)"
  • 6. Click "scan", and select your home wifi name in the appearing wifi list.
  • 7. Input your home wifi password in " repeater Password" column, then you can set a new SSID(name); Select " WPA2-PSK" in Security column to encrypt your wifi; Set a password for this wifi repeater in Password column. Click " Apply".
  • 8. Wait and done. Close the page, wait the 3rd Repeater LED turns greeen, connect to the new wifi and surf your internet.

    I moved into a 2 story house and I frequently relied on wifi service to operate my children's smart TVs as we do not have cable service, however the signal was weak to non existent in their bedrooms upstairs. I ordered this product, it arrived quickly, and not too complicated to set up if you follow the instructions they post right on the product details page when you order it. TIP One thing I did notice during setup that created some challenges for me is I had my home wifi set to auto connect if the signal was better quality, I had to disable that setting temporarily while I was setting up the range extender just so it wouldn't keep trying to disconnect from the extender to reconnect to my home wifi during the set up process. Once the extender was set up I was able to move it to an area in my stair way half way between my router and the problem area and now I have full wifi signal in the former problem area in my home. I would highly recommend to anyone experiencing similar issues.

    I bought this to extend the wifi in my house. Set up was easy with problems. However, it will not stay connected to my home wifi. So when my device connects to this device's wifi is an "empty pipe." When I unplugged it, there is something small rattling around inside the extender. This happened about 10 days after the return window closed.... Not satisfied.

    Installing is very difficult. I spent 2-3 hours for understanding how to install. I want to plug in for kitchen because our router has a long distance to kitchen. Unfortunately, this router wants a different SSID. So if we want to connect to internet in kitchen, we should select different Wi-Fi SSID every time. When I set the same SSID and password with our router. It dropped internet so many times. It is not good for using smartphone and any portable devices. I'm not satisfied with this product. I purchased with customer review, but it is very disappointment for me.

    Update: It resets automatically when electricity is out. I had to set up every time. I bought TP-link travel modem instead of this. It works with same SSID and no issues ever.

    Useless. Every other brand of repeater I've used was pretty much plug and play. I owned an internet IT company for over a decade, so I know how these work. I spent over 5 hours trying to get it to connect to my wireless router and repeat the signal. It should have taken about 2 minutes. A complete waste of time. It's currently in the trash can,

    I tried many wifi extenders. Sometimes the internet goes out (according to internet provider it is due to high traffic of people using the internet in my area) so the WiFi extender lose the signal and some of it takes a long time to reconnect to the WiFi router then my device reconnecting to the extender which takes a while obtaining an IP address from Extender. Others do not reconnect at all.
    This one has no issue with reconnecting and sending back the signal to my WiFi devices. I received strong signal from weak area. I even connected about 6 devices to the extender and using all devices to download, I have not seen any lags or pauses. They are sharing the signal from the extender without issue so this extender is really reliable.
