In theory, this should work easily. Simply split the fiber optic cable, sending the input signal to two outlets, or sending a signal from one input to the outlet. But these must be made in a junk factory.

I got two of these from Amazon, but neither would work. I made sure the connections were solid, but it just didn't work. Before actually connecting multiple devices, I connected only one device in and one device out.

I suspect this thing is somehow reflecting the signal back on itself, scrambling it.

Not worth a plug nickel.

I was not able to use this splitter. The male end fit perfectly into my Sony TV, but I could not insert any of my toslink cables into the two female ends. Seems to have been manufactured to wrong specs. Based on this I will be returning this splitter and replacing it with a different brand as I cannot trust the quality control for this product.

After writing negative review for this product, I was contacted by the seller by email, who initiated a refund for the product, saving me from having to do so.
Even if you you get a defective product as I did, the seller will take care of you. Based on this, I wouldn’t buy this particular product again, but would buy from the seller.
